The Formula
Want to know what you get when you cross a step you didn't know what there with a table holding metal flower boxes and a brick sidewalk?
This:
And that was the bruise of which I could actually photograph. There's more. My knees are also a lively shade of purple but I don't photograph my knees for anyone.

Ouchy! You poor thing - I hope you're OK.
Why do I think of raspberry jam when I look at that?
Did 3 people rush over to help you up (thus embarrassing you even more) or did they just pretend not to notice you?
OW! Sorry...
That is horible. I hope you heel up soon. Sounds like it is time for a long nap.
Ouch! I hope the soreness goes away soon!
It's still sore but the swelling is going down some.
I was walking through an selection of garden plants outside of a home improvement store and didn't realize half of the display was up on the curbside and the other half down on the edge of the parking lot. I simply stepped off a curb I didn't know was there, pitched forward, tried to grab something to help stabilize myself - which didn't work - and proceeded to fall landing on my knees and banging my arm on the table I had been trying to grab hold of.
One lady shopper heard me say "Oh!" as I started to fall and she asked me if I was okay and helped me up. The employee three feet away continued to water plants as if nothing in the world had happened.
I felt horrible afterwards - all shakey and sore and I wanted nothing more than to go home and crawl back into bed but I still had to buy the plants I needed to bring to Kirsten on Sunday and had to go grocery shopping. With my schmutz covered clothes.
If it had been me, I would've been screaming (hopefully not curse words) so loud that half the store would have heard me. You are to be applauded for only an "OH!"
I hope you're feeling better, that's a nasty bruise.
How was your visit with Kirsten?
