Damp

It's about 11:20pm here and in my living room it's 86°F. I can barely wrap my head around that but I blame the massive sweating dainty and ladylike glow of perspiration.

Maybe tomorrow we'll talk about ice cream. And frozen yogurt. And popsicles. And lemonade. Right now my wrists are too hot to allow me to type.

I hear ya.

I do like your label, though. You've got that going for you.

I agree. Sleeping was nearly impossible even for me (someone who likes hot weather and usually sleeps well in it) last night, wasn't it.

Oh yeah. The cats are currently known as "the slugs"...and that's sort of how I'm feeling myself!

I would think this kind of heat would be a cakewalk for you, Ms. Mississippi girl?

Sari - It's like a label-slash-cry-for-help. :)

J - I was so miserable during the night that I was thisclose to going out to my balcony to sleep but I was afraid a spider would get on me.

Jeannette - My dog only wants to lay on the tile in the bathroom - the coolest spot in the apartment she can find.

Sirmelja - On the surface any Mississippi girl should be able to handle this sort of heat but then we got spoiled by air conditioning. In reality A/C has caused us to be the biggest hot weather wimps.

If I was there I'd fan you with one of those funeral fans. We could drink sweet tea with lots of ice from a Kerr jar and I'd put your hair up. You could put the jar on your cheek to cool you off.

Let's do that if it gets hot in heaven, ok?

Sprinkle your unmentionables with water, put them in the freezer for 3 hours and then put them on. Guarenteed to have you cooled down.

Seriously.

ps- ice on your pressure points (wrist, neck, etc) is very refreshing, too!
